The Silent Witness Memorial
James Payton Memorial Hospital, Gander NFLD

The Silent Witness Memorial was constructed in memory of the 1985 Aero Air crash in Gander, Newfoundland. The 101st Airborne Division of Fort Campbell, Kentucky were returning home for Christmas from peace keeping duties in the Middle East, when the aircraft crashed, killing all 256 people on board. It was the worst air disaster on Canadian soil.

The artwork is on permanent display in The James Payton Memorial Hospital located in Gander, Newfoundland.
